Out of 10 people at work, only three say they are engaged. Only three say they have a balanced life or balance in their life. If seven aren’t engaged nor balanced, they probably aren’t having fun at and away from work. As fun coaches, recreational programmers, and facilitative trainers for the past 30 years, Todd and Marsha Davis feel there are still too many people who lack awareness of the concept of fun at work. Even though many in the team building industry have been playing their part to make the work environment more efficient and friendly, still too many teams are disengaged and frustrated. This has been an increasing concern as it has made work unwelcoming, difficult, and isolated. Todd and Marsha Davis began to grow concerned about the work their fellow peers were doing, as it wasn’t having enough impact. Together they have created the process of “Fun At Work” using effective communication and problem solving solutions for those who manage or lead a team.  A simple program to build authentic teams.

Fun At Work isn’t putting a ping pong table in the break room!  It is all about managers and supervisors of people utilizing a proven process that encourages teamwork, cooperation and effective communication.  When people want to show up to the staff or team meeting, you have an authentic team.  When a team wants to spend time solving problems in an all-inclusive format, you have an authentic team. Our mission is to provide solutions for those who lead to be more fun at and away from work.

About The Author

MARSHA & TODD DAVIS

Todd and Marsha Davis are the Fun Coach Team based in the heart of the recreation and tourism popular City of Scottsdale. Todd has a seasoned career in recreation. His experiences are vast and diversified. As a college recruit for basketball in 1975, the City of Scottsdale Parks and Recreation Department hired him. Since then, he hasn’t looked back from or beyond the recreation industry. While getting a degree in recreation services from Arizona State University, Todd worked for the City of Scottsdale. By the time he graduated, he was a full-time sports coordinator and auxiliary firefighter. His passion and drive for fun and recreation permeated his lifestyle as he played basketball, softball, and volleyball and enjoyed other outdoor activities such as fishing and camping. In 1982, Todd’s creative spirit outgrew local government. He retired from community services and pursued a vision of corporate recreation programs. As most visionary entrepreneurs do, he struggled to achieve his goals, and by 1986, his vision of corporate games took off.
